Over Xmas and the new year and just after, We had a nice little gathering at our house for family and a few friends, We also had the long awaited (since he left school) retirement party for big Trev. Why does it only seem to be that the family now only see each other (as a full gathering) at weddings, funerals and christenings? Wouldnt it be a good idea if maybe a few times a year we all got together and had a knees up? There are six of us (yes i did say 6, was nice to see paul making his first steps back into the fold hopefully). And even most of the "kids" are now married with kids, or at least with kids!! So why cant we all take a turn in having everyone round for a drink and a natter, or even arrange to meet up for a meal somewhere and a drink. We always seemed quite a close family but without the convenience of mam and dads house to meet we dont seem to have that closeness anymore.
Who else thinks this would be a good idea? I know angela will cos any excuse to get pissed!!!!(only joking).

Hang on a minute what was I drinking at your party????? Oh yeah it was cuppas (of tea) where does getting pissed come into that?????
Having said about the family gathering Rob and I chatted about the same thing on the night of your party and we are planning on organising a similar event at ours once the house is sorted.
Yea I'd be up for a get together. I would recomend meeting in a pub somewhere though, as it wouldnt be fair to descend en masse to someones house.
Evo's birthday is in June, I say we go out for a drink to celebrate?
I never get invited to anything me! Always persuadable to do something (well, nearly always - though until April 5 this year, I am a bit like the invisible man)
You never get invited to anything Evo, cos no one likes you :-D
Where do you wanna go for a birthday beer then Evo?
