new years eve

First of all let me apologise for not posting for a while, the computer has been lying in the front room quite a bit of the time whilst we have the kitchen built and all the other alterations done.
My leg is OK now, just twinges a little when i try and kneel on it, Had to take Tracy to hospital yesterday morning, she was taking the dog for a walk when she was pulled by him and cockled over in a pot hole, turns out she has only badly sprained it, its gone bloody black though and she cant really walk on it. has had to take a couple of days off work though (today and wednesday).
As anyone who knows me will know, tonight is my only early night of the year, i always try and be in bed by 10 30 if i can, i hate new years eve and all the false friendliness that is around, everyone pretending to be everyones best mate then scrapping by 12 30!!! anyway, went to see dad this morning cos it is his 86th birthday today, i wished him happy birthday and he wished me a happy birthday back!
the kitchen is nearly finished and looks very nice, just got the tiles to be layed on the floor, tiler is coming on wednesday to start that, should take him about a day and a hlaf aparrently, im wallpapering tomorrow so that will be the kitchen done, we then just have the utility room (old shed and porch) plaster boarding and skimming then decorating, the floor sorting and a new front door and door frame fitting, the hallway and landing need decorating but that is just a case of painting the woodwork and emulsioning the walls so that can wait a couple of weeks or so. we have a door to go on in the hallway at the entrance to the kitchen but im leaving that til the suite arrives towards the end of january so we dont have to struggle through the door with it.
We are thinking of having a little drink on sunday if anyone wants to come along, all contributors to the blog are welcome, anyone wishing to come who doesnt know the address please e mail me and i will get back to you (might not be til near the end of the week cos the computer is having to be moved again to compleete the work
happy new year to all of you and don't work too hard over the next couple of weeks whilst im on my holidays from work. (spring holidays, i kid you not)
